Marty Carpenter

Dr. Martin W. Carpenter, OD, lives and practices optometry in Fairmont, WV. He has been practicing full-scope optometry in West Virginia since graduating from Southern College of Optometry in 2003. He is from Belington, WV, and holds a degree from West Virginia University. He is currently a member of the West Virginia Association of Optometric Physicians (WVAOP) and AOA.

Early in his career, he became involved in the WVAOP, serving as the legislative chair and on the executive board. He is a past President of the WVAOP and is currently on the legislative committee. Dr. Carpenter, OD, has been awarded Young OD of the Year by the WVAOP, the 2019 Dr. W. David Sullins, Jr. InfantSee award, and has lectured for Alcon Pharmaceuticals.

He enjoys spending time with his family, including his two children, Reese and Emma, as well as golfing, fishing, hunting, and working on his farm.
