Frank Siringo

MD, OD

Dr. Frank Siringo received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the State University of New York College of Optometry. He then served on active duty as an optometrist in the U.S. Army at Ft. Hood Texas, and with the Fourth Infantry Division in Tikrit, Iraq. Upon receiving an honorable discharge from the military, Dr. Siringo attended New York University (NYU) School of Medicine and graduated with honors followed by Ophthalmology Residency at New York Presbyterian-Columbia University Medical Center.

After completing training, Dr. Siringo joined the faculty at the University of Colorado as Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and attending vitreoretinal surgeon. In this capacity he trained medical students, residents and retina fellows for years, while maintaining a busy clinical and surgical practice.

Dr. Siringo has volunteered on numerous international eye care trips to Central America. He is active in research, with more than a dozen peer-reviewed publications, numerous scientific abstracts, book chapters, and invited lectures on topics including retinal imaging, age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal detachment.
